SalaryWe have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our clients thriving sales team on the outskirts of Newark.
As a Finance Assistant your role is instrumental to the business, working closely with the Finance Manager and other departments to ensure the process for all aspects of finance and accounting are running accurately and efficiently. In this position you will be a main point of contact with customers and suppliers you will aim to maintain and build on good relationships.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsibility for day-to-day credit control management and collection of customer debt
- Creating and updating accounts on Sage
- Processing Sales orders, Raising Sales Invoices and applications for payments.
- Raising Purchase Orders.
- Inputting Supplier invoices
- Processing Bank/Cash Payments & Receipts
- Processing of Expenses
- Maintaining that Product Costs are up to Date.
- Keeping the CRM system up to date
- Assist with general finance team duties, answering the telephone, filing, and dealing with enquir ies both internally and externally.
- Supporting the Finance Manager as deemed necessary, including with provision of finance information to assist the business.
The role requires someone who has excellent attention to detail and the ability to think fast on your feet. Relevant experience of at least 2 years in a financial background, experience of credit control responsibility. Experience of using Sage would be advantageous for this position and you will need a minimum of Level 2 AAT or ACCA.
You will need to hold a driving license and reliable vehicle for this position as there is no public transport.
Salary: £22,500 to £26,000 DOE
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
20 days holidays per year plus 8 bank holidays - Additional holiday can be accrued after 2 full years’ service up to a maximum of 5 additional days.
