This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of Birmingham’s Finance - Transactional Services section, Cashbooks team, which processes income and payments for the largest unitary authority in Europe.
The purpose of the role is to assist in dealing with payment and income processing matters on the Cashbooks Team responsible for delivering a quality income mangement and payment processing service within a Transactional services environment and to provide support to the Cashbooks Manager and other manager members within their functional area.
You will be experienced in the following (but not exclusively):
• Working within a finance environment, inputting information as determined by the supervisor, working accurately within procedures, and achieving deadlines in an office or administrative environment.
•Assisting in maintaining the integrity of data through data analysis, communicating with service users and other finance teams and under direction of the supervisor amending data as appropriate.
• Using Information Technology and producing routine business documents/reports.
You will be expected to have ability to:
• Work effectively within a team and maintain productive working relationships with service delivery and other Council Finance teams.
• Prioritise own workload to meet challenging deadlines within a strict timetable and show flexibility to respond to changing demands.

• Willingness to undergo appropriate training and development.
