Technique Recruitment Solutions are working with one of our clients based in Norwich looking to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Working within a new state of the art greenhouse facility, the candidate will be fully office based supporting the accountant predominently based in Norwich however occasionally in Ely, on daily purchase and sales ledger, preparation of management accounts, end to end payroll and adhoc analysis,
Finance Assistant
Full Time/Office Based Norwich
GBP25,000 - GBP30,000
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of purchase ledgers, setting up new suppliers, processing purchase invoices and preparing payments
- Responsible for sales ledger, raising invoices and allocating customer receipts
- Completing supplier statement reconciliations
- Ensuring accurate and timely postings for accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash
- Supporting accountant with bi-weekly/monthly payroll and covering payroll when required independently
- Preparing and posting journal entries, including accruals and prepayments
- Assisting with monthly management accounts, posting journals, preparing reports and balance sheet reconciliations
Experience and Qualifications:
- Will have a recognised accounting qualification such as AAT/equivalent or proven experience within a similar role
- Experience with accounting software Sage/Sage Payroll is desired
- Advanced Excel skills
- Confident team player to be the first point of contact for the finance department
- Can demonstrate strong analytical skills
- Excellent organisational skills
