Finance Assistant

This Finance Assistant role will provide a breadth of exposure and the opportunity to gain lots of experience in a fast-paced and exciting company that is restructuring and strengthening its finance team.

You will support the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring that we are following processes and retaining records for audit, ensuring that we have comprehensive reconciliations for balance sheets & other accounts, exposure to departmental and wider business projects and clear personal development within the Finance Team.

About the Role

This Finance Assistant role involves:

• Supporting the management accountants to provide Monthly Reporting Packs including Consolidated Group Account and Banking Pack Reports
• Supporting the accurate and timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts for the UK company and international subsidiaries, including intercompany reconciliations across all entities.
• Reporting and analysis as required by the management accountant with support & development
• Ensuring that we are always up to date and in line with accounting standards and compliance requirements across the processes, as set by the senior members of the team.
• Aligning with business improvement and efficiency initiatives as appropriate
• Liaising with other finance teams and the wider business to achieve objectives
• Ensuring financial controls are consistently applied to your role
• Managing and supporting audit queries alongside the Finance Manager and Group FC
• Any other duties that may be reasonably required by the team

Essential Skills

• Part-qualified AAT/CIMA/ACCA an advantage
• Excel intermediate as a minimum - Dynamics 365 an advantage.
• 2+ years of experience gained in a similar environment.
• Proven experience in working in a successful team.
• GCSE Mathematics and English required - 'A' Level Mathematics an advantage.
