Description
The Finance Assistant duties include;
- Maintenance of the purchase ledgers across all group companies. Duties to include, but not limited to, recording authorised purchase invoices reconciling trade creditor ledgers, producing BACS and cheque payment runs and dealing with queries from suppliers
- Production of working papers to be used in month end management accounts, including reconciliation of simple balance sheet accounts (control account creditors, bank, other debtors)
- Process and monitor staff expenses across all group companies, including assisting with production of payment runs using new expenses software
- Process and prepare customer refunds and personal accident claim payments
- Processing of monthly commission payments, including manual payments
- Provide support on additional finance tasks such as bank reconciliations
- Process queries from internal and external sources (suppliers, customers and admin staff), signposting, providing information and escalating these when necessary
- Assist in the maintenance of the payments system, flagging issues and maintaining financial data

- A solid foundation in financial analysis and reporting
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
