Finance Assistant Fast Growth LuxuryDrinks Scaleup North London / Hybrid

Harmonic are proud to be working with a fast-growing Luxury Drinks business on the hire of their first Finance Assistant to join the team on a part-time basis (2-3 days per week).

Having scaled up organically over the past 10 years our client is a well-established player in the Luxury Drinks space who has seen revenue growth to GBP10m+ over the past few years with ambitions to carry on scaling. Reporting to the Finance Manager this role will support with the day-to-day running of the Accounts Payable and Receivables function as well as supporting on the preparation of the monthly accounts up to trial balance.

Our client sells their products in high volume at premium costs and operate both a wholesale and ecommerce revenue model so the ideal candidate will be able to help to streamline efficiencies across the AP/AR functions as well as supporting in creating robust reports.

The Role:

The Finance Assistant role reports to the Finance Manager and comes with a mentored relationship with both the Finance Manager and company Directors. The ideal candidate will have a good handle on transactional finance (accounts payable / accounts receivable). Experience working with Xero or similar cloud based accountancy software would be beneficial.

  • Manage the day-to-day Finance Operations side of the business (owning Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll)
  • Accurately report on purchase invoices in a timely manner
  • Provide cash flow updates and provide weekly payment runs.
  • Manage Payroll and Expense management.
  • Manage Bank Account and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Ensure that month-end duties are completed by the start of every month.

What our client would like to see:

  • Confident written and verbal communication
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of finance experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamic 365 or Xero
  • Proactivity and desire to gain a firmer understanding of month and year-end tasks
  • Excellent Organisational skills
  • Real desire to learn and progress quickly

  • Experience with product-based business. This could be with a food, drink, fashion, retail, e-commerce, cosmetics, or fashion brand for example.
  • Passion for the SME / Scaleup / Start-up space.

Salary: GBP30-33,000 + benefits

WFH: 3 days in office and 2 days from home
