As a Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Invoice Processing:Reviewing and processing invoices from vendors and suppliers.Ensuring accurate coding and timely payment.Check Preparation:Generating checks for employees, contractors, and other payees.Verifying payment details and obtaining proper authorization.Bank Transactions:Handling bank transfers, including international transactions.Maintaining accurate records of transfers.
Tax Compliance:Completing and submitting tax returns, VAT (Value Added Tax) returns, and National Insurance contributions.Staying informed about relevant tax laws and regulations.Ledger Management:Regularly checking and updating ledger balances.Reconciling discrepancies promptly.Document Organization:Scanning, filing, and logging accounting documents such as receipts, invoices, and financial statements.Maintaining an organized filing system.Payroll Assistance:Collaborating with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.Handling payroll-related queries from employees.
Qualifications:Education: A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred, but not essentialExperience: Prior experience in finance, accounting, or administrative roles is beneficial.
Skills:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
