My client is an Education organisation based in Derby, easily commutable from wider Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and parts of Leicestershire. My client are rapidly expanding and are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their business.
Description
The Finance Assistant will report directly to the Finance Manager. Duties of the Finance Assistant will include:
- Managing the Accounts Payable function including issuing purchase orders; scanning, matching and processing invoices ready for payment and ensuring the invoices are approved for payment
- Raising sales invoices to stakeholders
- Assisting with audit and compliance
- Assisting with budget management and preparing and distributing report to budget holders on a regular basis
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working in a busy, high volume finance environment
- Have a good understanding of finance
- Be able to manage a variety and complex workload
- Have strong ICT skills
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
Job Offer
The successful candidate can expect a starting salary between £23-25,500 + 2 days home working + an opportunity the role will be made permanent + local government pension scheme (21% employer contribution)+ other voluntary benefits
