SalaryOur client are a leading engineering and design consultanty that specialise in projects across the infrastructure sector.
They currently require a Finance Assistant to join their team in Derby for a 12 month contract.
Responsibilities:
- Record and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Support our Market Operations teams and respond to any ad-hoc requests from them.
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
- Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process.
- Prepare monthly accounts reconciliation and resolve any outstanding items.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts & annual budgets.
- Ensure that new projects opened in the business comply with both Internal & External governance controls.
Candidate specification:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong excel skills.
- Previous experience within finance.
- Strong data skills. Able to interrogate large quantities of complex data quickly and efficiently and provide meaningful insights.
- Articulate with excellent communication skills.
