I'm recruiting for a leading vehicle maintenance business based in Woodbridge, committed to delivering high-quality service to their customers. The team are dedicated to excellence and innovation, and are seeking a dynamic individual to join as a Finance Assistant.
Reporting directly to the managing director, the Finance Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the business in various tasks related to financial management and reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in finance within a thriving manufacturing environment.
The position is paying between £28,000 - £32,000, offers full study support, 28 days holiday, onsite parking, plus many more.
Key Responsibilities for the Finance Assistant:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded properly.
- Provide support in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and maintain effective filing systems for financial records and documents.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial systems and procedures.
- Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
- Handle general administrative duties as needed within the finance department.
Qualifications and Skills for the Finance Assistant:
- AAT qualified ideally but would consider a studier
- Proven experience working in a finance role, preferably within a maintenance environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
