Finance Assistant
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: £25,000 per annum.
Hours: 35-40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to play a key role in supporting our Finance Department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organisation and develop your career in finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing accounts receivable
- Assisting the Head of Finance with reporting
- Supporting project-based reporting initiatives
- Contributing to the setup of new financial systems.
- The ideal candidate is a proactive and collaborative individual with a strong analytical mindset.
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance to generate and analyse financial reports.
- Assist in preparing regular financial statements for management review.
- Contribute to the development of insightful reports for various stakeholders.
- Support finance projects by providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather relevant data for reporting purposes.
- Analyse project financials and contribute to project-based reporting requirements.
- Play a key role in the implementation and setup of new financial systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Assist in training staff on new systems and processes
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
