Do you have a background in finance or perhaps you're an experienced school administrator looking for an ongoing role at a popular and well run school in St Albans?
We are looking for an accounts / administrator with a professional and can do attitude to support one of our key schools in St Albans. Working closely alongside the school business manager you will be responsible for arranging payments, paying invoices and raising credit reports and notes. A background within finance or a strong and stable background in school administration is an advantage.
Finance awareness / knowledge
*** Purchase ledger including processing invoices and payment runs
*** Lead in the accurate recording and monitoring of accounts and timely reporting to management and Senior Leadership Team
*** Month end procedures and reconciliations
*** Posting transactions and journals to the accounting system
*** Monitoring departmental budgets and liaising with budget holders
*** Cash management
*** Trip management
*** Assisting with debt management when necessary
*** To ensure the finance system is used effectively
General attributes
*** Maintain a confident and professional demeanour at all times
*** Carry out all duties in a safe manner and in line with College policies and procedures
*** Any other duties as required by the Principal or Finance Director as requested
