The Opportunity
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, with a dotted line to the Landmark Solutions Managing Director, working alongside the Business Unit SLT to provide financial information, tools, analysis, and insight and to challenge their thinking and support business strategy and performance. You will drive both budgetary and forecasting processes for the division.
You will also provide financial modelling for commercial bids, and quotes, working collaboratively with both the pipeline and commercial teams.
The role will involve:
- Maintaining financial reporting and analysis of performance at a project level on a monthly basis including liaising with the wider Landmark Information Group Finance team.
- Setting up and maintaining rolling forecasts to provide monthly analysis of where month, quarter and financial year is trending along with a complete 12-month forward view.
- Partnering with Sales and Bid Directors to update forward bid revenue and cost predictions, provide financial oversight and input into each bid submission and to assess the commercial options on the bid to improve margin.
- Working with the delivery teams to model staffing allocations to ensure delivery on project deliverables against contractual/milestone obligations.
- Reviewing the cost base and working with Operational Management team to drive savings through economies of scale, alternative sources and ensuring tools specific to programmes are exited at the end of contracts with customers.
About You
Confident with strong relationship building skills, articulate, self-motived and able to challenge effectively. Well-developed influencing skills, innovative with high levels of drive and resolve. You will also have/be:
- Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA (or equivalent)
- Solid financial Business Partnering experience within a busy commercial environment.
- Experience of bid and project accounting would be a distinct advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel and financial modelling techniques.
- High level numeracy and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Easily able to translate complex financial language/terms into a business/commercial context.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage your own workload to deliver the best service and outcomes.
