SALARY: Grade 5 | SCP 11-17 | £25,979- £28,770 pro rata

Torfaen County Borough Council is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, professional, and committed individual to help deliver the diverse and challenging workload of a busy compliance and claims team.
The projects currently being delivered by Torfaen CBC under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund investment plan include Multiply, CELTplus, Inspire+ and Inspire, each targeting different age ranges and delivery activities.
Your role will be to support the Senior Compliance and Claims officer in recording SPF project activities and costs and preparing claims for projects.
You will be expected to work closely with colleagues in the team and across the project delivery teams to check information for accuracy, record it in project systems and approve or reject data. This will cover a wide range of sources such as staff timesheets, financial documents and project enrolment forms for people participating in project activity.
You will also assist in providing audit evidence for claims, raising purchase orders and other general office duties.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:
Essential
· A good standard of education, particularly in English and Maths
· A good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, with particular expertise in Excel
· Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
· Good organisational skills
Desirable
· Experience of finance and recording or monitoring systems and processes
· Awareness of data protection regulations
· Awareness of audit processes and practices
