Finance Director

As a Finance Director in the manufacturing industry, the successful candidate will oversee and guide the financial strategy, ensuring robust financial management and control within the company. This role is based in Bury St Edmunds and is the No1 Finance position overseeing the company's Accounting & Finance department.

Leading Manufacturing client with a T.O of over 30 million. Growth in T.O year on year, now looking to recruit a new Finance Director.

Description

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals for growth and profitability.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
• A strong focus on finance systems, ensuring automation where possible and creating a robust systems plan to deliver effective business growth.
• Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organisational objectives.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing timely variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to finance staff to enhance their skills and contribute to their professional growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support key business initiatives and ensure financial considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.

Profile

A successful Finance Director should have:
Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
Proven experience as a Finance Director in a manufacturing setting with a turnover of £40-80 million.
Strong financial and business acumen
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices

Job Offer

Salary on offer between 85,000K-95,000K depending on experience
