They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join their dynamic team.

The Finance Director will be responsible for managing the financial operations, ensuring effective use of resources, and driving strategic initiatives to support the institution’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse range of funding streams, ensuring proper allocation and accountability.
• Interpret and apply funding methodologies, managing associated risks.
• Produce timely and accurate financial reports, including annual strategies for procurement, value for money, project updates, payroll, statutory accounts, detailed budgets, and associated returns and claims.
• Lead the implementation of measures to improve efficiency in transaction processing and optimise the use of finance systems.
• Oversee the finance team, providing leadership and support to direct reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and institutional policies.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the institution’s objectives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management and board-level executives.
• Utilise advanced Excel skills for financial modelling and analysis.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Full accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA).
• Substantial knowledge and experience of all aspects of finance, preferably within an educational environment.
• Proven experience in managing a finance team with multiple direct reports.
• High-level Excel skills are essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
