An established construction company has an excellent opportunity for a Finance Director to join their team based within vibrant open plan offices. The Finance Directorrole is newly created with an aim is to support the business to grow and develop through demonstrating astute commercial decision-making skills.

Finance Director responsibilities:
- Managing the Finance Team, overseeing the finance processes to ensure compliance and efficiency in delivering a commercial focused finance function
- Overseeing, reviewing, and adhering to budgets alongside maintaining all payroll functions
- Overall responsibility for company-wide budgetary planning
- Monitoring cash flow, WIP, CIS, monthly Management accounts, and other financial transactions
- Interpreting complex financial information and providing updates and information as required
- Analysing the financial climate and market trends to assist Board of Directors in creating strategic plans
- Managing the compliance with all current legislation and preparing the annual corporation tax return and quarterly VAT returns
- Demonstrating commercial decision-making skills, aligning financial strategies with organisational objectives
- Providing accurate financial reporting for presentation to the Board
- Exhibiting excellent communication skills, enabling clear and effective communication with both financial and non-financial stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
Finance Director required skills/competencies:
- Previous experience of project accounting in the construction industry or similar sector desirable
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA accreditation
- Experience leading a small finance team
