Finance Director

Tardis Environmental UK Ltd are a well-established portable toilet and tanker hire business that operate a large fleet of HGV and LGV vehicles across various locations situated throughout the UK.

We hire temporary waste and water solutions from 1000ltr waste and water storage tanks up to 30.000ltr storage tanks. Currently members of FORS and hold Gold accreditation.

We are currently looking to recruit a Finance Directorbased at our Telford depot.

Working alongside an MD and CEO, the Finance Director will be part of the senior management team, advising on the best path of growth for the business and possessing overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the company. Will have excellent communication skills with all levels of staff, often having to work with various departments to help them plan and manage their own budgets. In periods of change and growth an effective Finance Director is critical, coordinating corporate finance, managing company and compliance requirements.

Finance Director duties and responsibilities

As Finance Director will be expected to perform any of the following tasks:

• Work with senior teams to grow the businesses formulating strategies and plans
• Lead and develop finance teams
• Lead and manage the budgeting process
• Formulation of annual budgets and targets
• Overall control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems
• Preparation and submission of weekly and monthly updates
• Presentation of annual accounts with recommendations
• Review of accounts and investigation of variances then setting recovery plans
• Treasury matters
• Capital expenditure - evaluation and preparation of submissions.
• Insurance/ risk management
• Cost control and efficiency improvement
• Close involvement in commercial negotiations with customers
• Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.

Typical qualities of a successful Finance Director include:

• Fully qualified Accountant with experience of a senior financial role
• Excellent commercial and business acumen
• Exceptional communication skills at all levels
• Strong IT skills, able to embrace new technologies.
• Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making
