Trial Balance is working with a large employer based in the Newton Abbot area, and a leader in its’ field within the construction sector. Due to the retirement of the current incumbent, they are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the entire finance function and supervise a team of 5.
Reporting in to the Financial Controller, you will take the lead role in the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack, supervise teams looking after ledger maintenance and credit control, manage the monthly payroll, VAT preparation, HMRC filings and other statutory requirements, along with working closely with auditors at year end.
This role would be an ideal next move for a strong finance all-rounder with excellent staff management skills. A professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA would be highly regarded, but consideration will also be given to candidates who are qualified through their experience. You will need to be able to demonstrate strong systems skills and the ability to liaise effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
