Finance Manager

Astute’s renewables team is working with a leading company whose main focus is on developing innovative solutions and advancing anti-corrosion technologies to effectively reduce maintenance costs and ensure the long-term integrity of vital infrastructure assets. We are now seeking a Finance Manager whose role is integral in establishing and managing financial controls, systems, and processes, while actively contributing to strategic decision-making across multiple areas including company infrastructure, financial management, business development, recruitment, and internal policies.

The Finance Manager role comes with a salary of up to �75,000 depending on experience plus company benefits.

Responsibilities and duties

As a Finance Manager you will:

* Develop systems and procedures to ensure efficient financial management and compliance with statutory requirements.
* Produce accurate and timely financial information to facilitate decision-making regarding the company's financial health and security.
* Generate necessary statements and reports for measuring cash flow, profit and loss, stock, debtors, etc.
* Implement and monitor controls to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, providing required information.
* Conduct internal audit reviews and monitor financial effectiveness of systems and controls.
* Recommend changes to enhance financial performance and controls.
* Stay updated on developments in financial management and statutory obligations.
* Serve as the company's main resource for financial control expertise.
* Handle inter-company and general ledger account reconciliations, payroll processing, end-of-year responsibilities, expenses/accounts receivable/accounts payable processing, VAT returns, budget/forecast submissions, financial data management, policies maintenance, cash flow management/reporting, and project accounting/reporting

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience will be considered.
* A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA) is essential.
* Previous experience of managing financial control systems and processes in a standalone capacity
* Experience of analysing company financial data and reporting to Senior Management.
* Ideal candidates will possess Sage proficiency, payroll expertise, and experience in project-based accounting.
