My client is a firmly established icon within their field recently celebrating their 100th year of existence. We are looking for a talented Finance Manager to join their business in Central Edinburgh to be part of their Senior Management Team and continue their strong economic performnance and delivery of an outstanding service.
This is a Finance Manager role with a big voice - in many ways sharing a lot of the responsibilities of a Finance Business Partner but with the responsiblity of also running the overall Finance Team of 5 staff. The role requires the successful candidate to be in the Edinburgh Office 2 days a week and 3 days working from home.
I think an interesting part of this role is that my client is looking to move on to a new financial software package and the incoming Finance Manager would have the opportinity to have a major part in the package chosen and how this is implemented into your Team.
Some of the responsibilities would include;
- create and maintain financial reports.
- Manage budgets and analyse financial data.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives.
- Forecast financial trends and assess risks to inform decision-making.
- Manage relationships with external interested parties, such as auditors, banks and investment managers.
- Oversee financial transactions and monitor financial performance.
- Prepare financial statements including quarterly reports and annual accounts.
- Manage Finance staff, ensuring appropriate staff support, training and development.
- Manage external IT support function to ensure systems operate effectively, identify areas for improvement and manage project development.
- Communicate financial information clearly to non-financial interested parties.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve company goals.
On offer is a basic salary in the region of £50000 a year, excellent hybrid working terms, a strong pension, favourable holiday allowance and a 34.5 hour working week, offering excellent work life balance opportunity.
Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
