Job Description
The finance department consists of the FM/FC and two full time supporting staff. The FM/FC is responsible for all aspects of this department, including the management of the support staff. The financial year runs to the end of April.
- Daily and weekly duties consist of
- Checking and reconciling multi-currency online bank accounts
- Maintaining and updating cash flow forecasts
- Buying and/or selling foreign currency
- Monthly duties;
- Reconciliation of inter-company loan accounts
- Monthly PAYE returns
- Full management accounts - Chair monthly financial update meeting.
- Report to the Directors on actual vs forecast variances
- Collation of high-level group cash flow
- Reviewing and amending annual forecasts.
- Each three months to put together a reporting pack for our bankers which is a collation of normal monthly information.
- VAT returns and reconciliation Annually;
- Producing accounts up to Balance Sheet
- Stocktake and valuation
- Accruals and Prepayments
- Depreciation
- Fixed asset register
- Lease, HP, and intercompany loans.
- Driving all aspects of the annual audit process to ensure internal and statutory reporting deadlines met
- Assisting with Corporation tax returns
- Ensure timely compliance with all Audit Management weakness report points
- Analysing and putting in place new KPI's
- Budgeting and budget preparation
- Support staff appraisals
- Dealing with queries, correspondence, and general accounts emails.
- Documenting and compliance with internal and external protocols and Accounts systems
- Financial planning
- Project Costings and ad-hoc projects or requests from directors
- Cash Management, Order processing, credit card and invoice signing off protocols.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CIMA / ACCA / QBE
- Managerial experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial operations and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills for financial planning and strategy.
- Strong leadership skills to manage a team.
