Job description

Vitae Financial Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a high-growth and entrepreneurial brand, already with strong market share across Europe, as they look to enter the UK market in 2024. Reporting to the CEO, we are initially hiring a credible and ambitious Finance Manager in this unique and attractive opportunity, with a view to build a team in future.
The successful candidate will oversee all day to day financial aspects of the business and support the CEO to deliver the company's financial strategy and planning. You'll ensure timelines for weekly and monthly reporting are met and any site P&Ls, as well as balance sheet reconciliations. The end goal is to develop the finance department and business further, along with the projected growth path in the UK.
Key duties include:
* Responsibility for the integrity and timely delivery of the company's management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations and any required reporting for all relevant entities including but not limited to outsourced providers
* Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and readiness to act to prevent problems
* Develop and maintain all necessary processes, systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company
* Develop and control the company's annual operating budget in conjunction with Key Management
* Deliver and prepare all reports of the company's financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time
* Create monthly and annual reports to identify and analyse results, trends, and make financial forecasts
* Supporting the CEO with the creation and review of business plans for the board approval
* Business partner and challenger from a commercial perspective for the other departments
* Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company.
* Management of all controlling and compliance obligations.
* Management of payment of all suppliers and other creditors on a timely basis.
* Support the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks.
* Oversight of audit and internal controls procedures.
* Ensure all Nominal accounts and Creditors are reconciled and posted in a timely manner.
* Involvement in ad hoc projects such as General Ledger replacement
Key skills & experience required:
* Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
* Strong desire to grow and adapt to change
* Able to work on own initiative without direct supervision
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret impact on business decisions
* Analytical mindset with ability to understand, challenge and inform on business and investment decisions
* Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
* Strong modelling expertise and experienced Excel User
* Excellent communication skills and ability to present succinctly to senior stakeholders
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workstreams
* Candidates must come from a consumer facing background, ideally hospitality, but Retail/FMCG will also be considered
