We Do Group are delighted to be supporting a GBP1-1.5m turnover publishing house in London, recruiting a part-time Finance Manager to take ownership for all day to day Finance activities.
Reporting into a Fractional FD who is on-site 3 days pcm, this is a varied role that will look after all transactional processing, reporting & payroll work for the 6 person business, working closely with the MD.
Hours: 24hrs p/w (split over 3, 4 or 5 days)Hybrid: Minimum 1 day p/w in London. Rest of time work from homeSalary: GBP30,000 - GBP40,000 (GBP50,000-GBP66,000 FTE)
The Role
Finance
- Processing, seeking approval and paying purchase invoices
- Raising and issuing sales invoices
- Accounting for bank payments and receipts
- Regularly reconciling bank accounts
- Maintaining the publication records in Xero Projects
- Prepare monthly prepayment and accrual adjustments
- Ensuring correct revenue recognition and WIP adjustments when invoices are raised and received and a publication is delivered to the end client
- Importing monthly payroll journal
- Maintaining the company's fixed asset register
- Monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet control accounts
- Developing and preparing monthly management reports and presenting to MD and FD
- Quarterly UK VAT and monthly French VAT returns, including MTD submissions to HMRC
- Assisting the FD and external accountants in the preparation of the annual accounts and corporation tax returns
Payroll
- Preparing monthly payroll for staff, currently 6 members
- Adding new joiners or removing leavers and any adjustments to salary in CitrusHR payroll system
- Submitting monthly RTI files to HMRC
- Submitting monthly pension files to Nest Pensions
- Preparing and filing annual P60's
HR
- Maintaining records in the CitrusHR system
- Issuing offer letters and contracts to new employees from the CitrusHR system
- Co-ordinating with external HR partner on HR matters
- Reviewing and maintaining HR policies
- Oversight of holiday and other leave records
Other
- Assist MD and FD with annual insurance renewals
- Assist with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by the MD and FD

Your Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA / CIMA)
- Effective communicator - written & verbal
- Available for 24hrs work per week, with 1 day in London
