Reed Accountancy and Finance are currently seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis in Folkestone. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with numbers, and is looking to gain further experience in this sector.
Day-to-day of the Finance Assistant role:- Assisting with the preparation of financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.
- Completing purchase orders and managing payroll.
- Completing bank reconciliations.
- Entering financial information into appropriate software programs.
- Managing company ledgers.
- Managing day-to-day transactions.
- Reporting on debtors and creditors.
- Handling accruals and prepayments.
- Managing monthly budgeting tasks.
- Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts.
- Reviewing computer reports for accuracy and meticulously tracing errors back to their source.
- Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods.
- Experience with financial reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of computer software and advanced Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail.
