**Finance Officer**

**About the role**
As a Finance Officer, you will work closely with the Trust Accountant and Finance Assistant, providing financial support for the successful and smooth running of the school. You will be responsible for:
- Processing invoices, payments, receipts and bank reconciliations
- Preparing monthly management accounts and budgets
- Monitoring income and expenditure and reporting on variances
- Assisting with audits, statutory returns and year-end accounts
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and systems
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, such as school staff, suppliers, auditors and regulators
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Have a minimum of GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Have experience of working in an admin or accounting environment
- Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to adhere to strict regulations and practices
- Be a team player, with a ‘can do’ solution focused attitude
- Possess outstanding communication skills and personal integrity
- Have good IT skills, especially in Excel and accounting software
- Have a keen interest in education and the school sector

- A competitive salary of £23,275 - £26,232 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
