Finance Officer

40 hours per week: Monday to Friday - 8 am to 5 pm (1 hour lunch). Part Time or Reduced hours are considered for this role.

We are looking for a Finance Officer for an exciting opportunity with our client based in Kimbolton. This role would suit anyone with a strong Accountancy background looking for a new temporary challenge - this is a highly varied position which will demand quick learning, all-round experience and an ability to work under pressure.
In this office-based role you will be working within a team of two and you must be available to start work on 1st May 2024.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Finance Officer:
- Checking of supplier invoices against received purchase orders and delivery information.
- Coding and inputting of purchase invoices.
- Supplier invoice entering, calculation of supplier discounts and bank payment list preparation.
- Occasional banking of cheques by post.
- Matching invoices to Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and match GRNs to supplier invoices.
- General finance administration duties.
- Create new accounts via a template for any new customers.
- Journal processing and email mailbox management.
Key experience and skills required for the Finance Officer:
- Previous Accountancy background or AAT qualified.
- Good Microsoft office proficiency (Intermediate user of Excel)
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and organisation.
- Able to work well within a team but also be able to manage own workload.
