Salary: Circa £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

The opportunity:
MBDA are recruiting for a Finance Officer to work within the Cost Control team, to provide financial support to the Technology & Performance, and Information Management functions.
This role is to be an integral part of the Cost Control team, providing timely and accurate financial information and support, whilst acting as a key business partner for the T&P teams. As such, this role will allow you to demonstrate your ability to proactively manage aspects of Cost Controlling, and gain, or build, on your experience of working in a world leading multi-national company.
What we're looking for from you:
- AAT qualification or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred, but not essential
- Intermediate level Excel user, comfortable with manipulating data
- Proficiency in using and understanding Enterprise Finance systems such as SAP, BPC, SAC etc. would be beneficial
- Ability to build strong working relationships with non-Finance teams, across different nationalities – cultural awareness and French or Italian language skills are a bonus
- Desire and enthusiasm to learn and to develop skills
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction

The Role
- Business partnering to the Technology & Performance function within the UK, including monitoring of labour bookings and control of discretionary spending
- Month end close and reporting activities
- Provide support in the Cost Control of the IM function, both operational and capital expenditure
- Support the preparation of multi-year business plan and annual budgets
- Support to the wider team in activities including process improvements
- Ensuring data integrity in financial tools
