40 hours per week: Monday to Friday - 8 am to 5 pm (1 hour lunch). Part Time or Reduced hours are considered for this role.

£30,000 per year

We are looking for a Finance Officer for an exciting opportunity with our client based in Kimbolton. This role would suit anyone with a strong Accountancy background looking for a new temporary challenge - this is a highly varied position which will demand quick learning, all-round experience and an ability to work under pressure.

In this office-based role you will be working within a team of two and you must be available to start work on 1st May 2024.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Finance Officer:

• Checking of supplier invoices against received purchase orders and delivery information.
• Coding and inputting of purchase invoices.
• Supplier invoice entering, calculation of supplier discounts and bank payment list preparation.
• Occasional banking of cheques by post.
• Matching invoices to Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and match GRNs to supplier invoices.
• General finance administration duties.
• Create new accounts via a template for any new customers.
• Journal processing and email mailbox management.

Key experience and skills required for the Finance Officer:

• Previous Accountancy background or AAT qualified.
• Good Microsoft office proficiency (Intermediate user of Excel)
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and organisation.
• Able to work well within a team but also be able to manage own workload.
