Position: Finance Officer
Location: Chester
Job Type: 6 month fixed term contract
Flexibility: On-site (potential to have 1 day from home p/w after training)
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Company: SJC Partners are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to join a non-profit organisation in Chester.
Responsibilities:
* Support monthly management accounts preparation, including journal creation, fixed asset register review, and monthly analysis with balance sheet reconciliations.
* Oversee company credit card and expenses processes.
* Manage full sales ledger operations, including invoicing, statement issuance, customer data maintenance, invoice reconciliation, and debt control.
* Handle charity cash book duties, overseeing on-site cash, preparing count sheets, posting transactions, and reconciling bank transactions.
* Assist finance team with various tasks: email management, financial statement preparation, audit query addressing, participation in finance meetings, and other ad hoc duties.
Requirements:
* Proficient in management accounts preparation
* Proficient in leading sales ledger activities, including invoicing and credit control
* Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel knowledge
* Familiarity with Sage 200, Spektrix, Artifax & Tevalis is desirable
