A well-known Japanese gaming company based in Windsor is looking to hire a Financial Accountant to join their team.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts that reflect the financial position of the business.
The role would be suitable for someone with 3-5 years’ experience in European Finance organization and SOX environment. Skill in SAP and Excel will be essential for this role.

LOCATION: Windsor (Hybrid working available after 1 month (3 days in office, 2 from home))
Financial Accountant Main Responsibilities:
- Revenue Accounting: Posting of digital revenue accruals and platform fee adjustments. Raising of invoices with major gaming companies, and merchandising customers. Calculation of sales reserves for COOP, SOA and Returns. Release of deferred revenue
- Inventory accounting: Ensure valuation of inventory is reflective of the net realisable value. Engage with Management on stock levels to drive sales and ensure inventory position is optimised. Reconciliation of goods-in-transit accounts
- Fixed Asset accounting: Accurate recording of fixed assets and depreciation in line with company policy
- Right-of-Use Assets: Maintain lease schedules in line with accounting standard IFRS 16 for ROU assets
- Payroll accounting: Accurate posting and reconciliation of salary and wage tax accounts across EMEA branches
- Expense accruals: Reconciliation of departmental and centralised HQ incurred costs based on effective collaboration across the business
- Calculation and posting of Transfer Net Margin Method cost allocation
- Perform trial balance reviews during month-end
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform disclosure packages
- Support during interim and year-end audits, providing samples to and answering queries from auditors promptly
- Support Head of Finance with creation of the annual Financial Statements
- Support to Head of Finance and Finance members on projects and other ad-hoc tasks
Financial Accountant Ideal Candidate:
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in European Finance organization and SOX environment
- SAP FI/CO experience essential
- Advanced MS Excel is essential
- Qualified or part-qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
- Competent and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly numerate, analytical and literate
- Structured and organised approach to work
- Motivated to perform own tasks to a high standard, but possessing flexible team player approach
- Business level of fluency in both English
- Some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese language would be advantageous
