Job Overview: Seeking a talented and motivated Financial Accountant to join the team. The Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting operations across the UK, Netherlands, and Spanish overseas entities while assisting the Regional Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for multiple European entities.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements in financial reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Assist with audit preparations and liaise with external auditors in the UK, Spain and Netherlands.
- Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as directed by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
- First-time mover from an audit background is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably in a multinational or corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including IFRS and local GAAP.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (Dutch or Spanish) would be advantageous.
