Location
// This role is available in a fully remote and hybrid model. While we prefer candidates based in London, we will consider other candidates who are happy to travel to our London office occasionally.
The role
// Join our team in a dynamic position that bridges the gap between the Financial Controlling, Tax Manager, and Director of Controlling. You'll be an integral part of our global efforts in accounting, tax, financial operations, and compliance at Masabi. This is your chance to make a significant impact in a role that sits at the heart of our financial infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Oversee the completion of year-end financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
Provide support during the year-end audit and tax engagements
Be the go-to expert for technical accounting matters
Manage month-end profit and loss (P&L) processes, including balance sheet reviews, pinpointing and explaining any variances with precision
Handle credit card transactional accounting, payroll accounting, prepayments and accruals
Design, implement and maintain improvements to the company’s financial reporting systems
Assist with tax compliance and various projects across the Group, including UK (Payroll Settlement Agreements (PSA) and R&D), USA and Canada.
Assist with insurance renewals for UK, Romania and USA
Respond to customer insurance queries, including certificate issuance and support with compliance
Facilitate Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation processes
About You
Qualified as an Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
Well-versed in Accounting standards - UK GAAP and US GAAP
Have advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets
Are a curious self-starter, demonstrating high motivation and initiative
Resilience and emotional intelligence are part of your toolkit
