About the role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a senior position within the business and will take responsibility for the Financial Accounting within the company. This role is an excellent entry point into the business for either a finalist or qualified accountant in their first years post qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of cash position, including reporting this to FD and Directors
• Month and Year end ownership
• Production of Monthly Management Accounts including commentary
• Assisting with the overall running of the finance department
• Working with third party partners and management of pension plan
• Bank reconciliation for UK and Foreign Currency (FOREX) accounts
• Set up and process of electronic transfers
• Production of pre-payments and accruals
• Stakeholder management with different functions including sales team members
• Liaise with and take ownership of audit relationship
• Accounts reconciliation
• Continuous improvement of systems, processes, procedures and spotting opportunities
• Fixed asset register

Person profile

• Finalist or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent)
• Ambitious and career motivated
• High personal integrity, motivation and pride in personal performance
• Excellent personal presentation, communication and character
• Excellent stakeholder management skill
• First class reporting ability, including good knowledge of financial systems.
