Job Description
- Working with the Finance Manager to support on month end procedures, delivering monthly board reporting including providing relevant commentary and metrics
- Monitoring and analysing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements.
- Working on the consolidation of group companies and delivering accurate statutory annual accounts
- Ensuring accurate reporting for complex accounting areas
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Responsibility for coordinating and completing annual audits.
- Improving systems and procedures and initiating corrective actions, identifying and implementing process improvements and changes
- Responsible for Corporation Tax and VAT compliance, with the support of external advisors
- Assisting with cash flow forecasting
- Ensuring robust financial controls are in place
- Assigning projects and directing staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Meeting financial accounting objectives and supporting the wider team with day-to-day financial activities
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Proven group accounting and consolidation experience
- Technical knowledge of IFRS and risk management (advantageous)
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Enjoys fast-paced environment
- Confident stakeholder management experience
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
