About the role:
- Rate of Pay: £19.04 per hour
- Location: Ballymena
- Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday
- Duration: Until end of October (possibility of extension)
This role is integral to the finance team, ensuring smooth management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, purchasing, and cashier functions. Duties will include:
- Accounts Management: Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Credit Control: Ensure effective credit control practices
- Purchasing: Handle purchasing activities efficiently
- Cashier Functions: Supervise cashier operations within the Finance Team
- QLS Interface: Maintain and manage the QLS system interface
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures
- Data Analysis: Analyse financial data and propose solutions
- Procedure Development: Develop and maintain robust financial procedures
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate a team to achieve targets and deadlines
Criteria:
- Successful completion of professional examinations with full membership in one of the following Accountancy Bodies: The Institute of Accounting Technicians in Ireland, Association of Accounting Technicians Or equivalent. Alternatively, applicants with relevant formal qualifications considered by the selection panel to be of an equivalent or higher standard will be considered. If submitting an equivalent qualification, please provide detailed information on the modules studied and the date of award.
- Two years of experience within the last five years in a finance office, including at least two of the following areas:General ledger, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Purchasing or Payroll
- Supervisory experience within the last three years, including: Work planning, Discipline, Training
- Proficient in double-entry bookkeeping
- Experience using a sophisticated integrated accounts package
- Proven ability to manage, lead, and motivate staff
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to propose solutions and communicate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to write and maintain robust procedures
- Excellent time management skills for self and others to meet targets and deadlines
