The role
In this newly created position of Capital Programmes Finance Analyst, which is initially on a 12 Month fixed term contract, you will provide an excellent finance service and accurate an relevant financial information to your customers. You will do this by preparing and reviewing results for capital works, including monitoring performance against budget.
This role is part of Finance where you'll help us to invest more back into communities and design for strength.
What you'll achieve
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Provide financial analysis and support to Business Partners, also supporting in preparing presentations and board papers for Senior Management and the Boards.
- Provide and clearly communicate an understanding of the current financial position and impact on future forecasts. Providing financial support and guidance to the business on various business projects including developing new products/services and disposals.
- Support project managers in writing and reviewing business cases, making sure they meet the Group's objectives and ensuring all efficiencies are realised.
- Use data held within the business and outside to drive insight to improve performance.
- Build relationships across the business (including Directors), ensuring all teams have access to sound financial support. Managing and supporting junior team members.
What you'll bring
Essential skills
To be successful in this role you will need to have appropriate proven experience in a financial position. It is also essential that:
- Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/ICAEW/equivalent).
- Extensive experience of using Microsoft Excel to provide business information.
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
- Good literacy skills and the ability to communicate clearly with customers at all levels of organisation.
- Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
