Financial Analyst

As a result of our clients expansion plans, and continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Financial Analyst to be based at a Head Office in Plymouth.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Senior Group Finance Manager, this is a new role, crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our Finance team. This includes preparing and reviewing financial performance, and having an input on key commercial decision making.

Duties to include:

• Analysis of daily, weekly and monthly store-level performance data to identify any concerns in real time, so that remedial action can be implemented
• Analysis of all income stream performance data, giving recommendations on potential changes to maximise profitability
• Modelling and projecting the financial impact of proposed new business scenarios
• Sensitivity analysis of existing group profitability, proposing areas of opportunity and concern to focus on
• Finance business partnering with key teams throughout the wider business
• Other tasks as required

Qualifications, skills and experience:

This is a demanding role in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:

• Experience in a commercial organisation
• Experience analysing large data sets, identifying trends and issues, and proposing recommendations
• Strong Excel skills, with experience of financial modelling (essential)
• Power BI, Visual Basic, SQL experience (desirable)
• Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or similar)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
• The confidence to challenge existing practices and seek improvements
