Salary: Up to £60,000 (dependent on experience)

We are representing a manufacturing company based in Gillingham, currently in search of a Financial Analyst to join us on a 6-month temporary contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing the businesses needs for the upcoming financial year. This position is perfect for someone who has a knack for financial modelling, possesses a strategic mindset, and is looking to make a significant impact in a short period.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Perform detailed financial analysis to inform strategic planning for the next financial year.
• Develop and refine financial models to project business performance and aid in budgeting efforts.
• Analyse historical financial data and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations for revenue growth and cost savings.
• Work collaboratively with department heads to understand financial requirements and contribute to informed decision-making.
• Generate regular reports and projections based on financial analysis.
• Assess capital expenditures and manage depreciation schedules.
• Investigate investment opportunities, assessing potential returns and associated risks.
• Assist the finance department in overseeing and streamlining the budgeting process.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrable experience in a financial analysis role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, with extensive experience in financial modelling and forecasting.
• Competence in interpreting financial statements and conducting statistical analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• A relevant degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting is highly desirable.
• Professional finance qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA) are beneficial.
