Job description

Homes for Students is a market leader in managing independent purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) The Company, since it was formed in October 2015, has secured 40,000 bed spaces across 160 properties with more than 50 different clients.

We are seeking a Financial Compliance Accounts Assistant, based in our Harrogate office working 40 hours per week, 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday,  who will assist with all elements of Mobilisations/Demobilisation & Internal Audit Functions.

Excellent communication skills, accuracy, commercial acumen, efficiency, and an eye for detail are essential. With the company continuing to grow, the responsibilities of the role will develop in-line with any future structural changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mobilisations
  • Internal Audit
  • Finance audit
  • Inboxes
  • Ad-hoc support to Property Managers, Audit Manager & Finance Manager
  • Training support

IT Skills:

  • Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (Excel skills are key in this role)
  • Accounting Packages - ideally Navison
  • Reporting Packages – ideally JET reports
  • An excellent level of IT understanding – ad-hoc packages are used within the function
