Your new role
As a Finance Assistant, your main duties will include, but will not be limited to;
- Responding efficiently and professionally to enquiries and requests for information.
- Using your initiative to solve straightforward problems, following procedures and seeking further information as required.
- Processing e-expense claims, paper claims and authority for payment forms, ensuring they have been made and authorised in line with the university's regulations and procedures.
- Maintaining up to date and accurate expenses and advance logs and ensuring that processed forms are filed weekly.
- Checking purchase card expenditure to ensure compliance with university financial regulations and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
- Possess an understanding of basic purchasing and Accounts Payable processes.
- Someone who is comfortable with Excel and has experience making spreadsheets.
- Have good working knowledge of SAP
