Financial Controller - 12 Month Maternity Cover - Fintech / Digital Assets

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee all areas of financial accounting of control, including financial accounting, treasury, systems, and finance transactions
• Lead the preparation and submission of management accounts, payroll processing and VAT returns
• Ensuring accurate and current financial ledgers
• Coordinate procurement activities
• Coordinate and manage external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
• Prepare audit schedules, provide necessary documentation, and address auditor queries
• Provide the management committee and EXCO with financial reporting vital to the decision-making process
• Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Evaluate accounting and internal control systems and governance
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations
• Fulfil additional ad hoc duties are required to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• qualified with 3-4 years post qualification experience
• Experience in start up/scale up environment is helpful
• Crypto/Digital Asset experience is useful to have
