As a result of the growth comes the opportunity for a Financial Controller to join the team. Reporting to and supporting the Group Finance Director, the role requires a keen ability to work at both Group and detail level. As a newly created role, it provides the new hire with the real chance to make their mark, push their boundaries and play a key role in the value creation journey in a company that is truly disrupting an industry.
The role:
- Drive the preparation and presentation of accurate and insightful monthly management reporting and financial reports to stakeholders, facilitating strategic decision making.
- Collaborate in departmental budget process and variance analysis.
- Assisting in business partnering and managing relationships with external partners.
- Re-design of new reporting for various stakeholders
- Develop and maintain robust controls and procedures tailored to the unique needs of the business.
- Support further automation of Cash Flow.
- Establish new initiatives to drive improvements across the finance and accounting function.
- Set up stock and inventory systems and regular management and monitoring.
- Overseeing statutory accounts and annual audit in line ensuring compliance.
- Preparation of relevant reporting for different tax filings across UK, USA and international jurisdictions.
- Optimisation; work closely with Finance Director on change initiatives and ad hoc tasks, including driving continued automation, optimisation, and simplification of finance processes.
Requirement:
- You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Experienced in multi-site organisations
- Strong finance and accounting knowledge, especially around lease accounting and property portfolio under UK GAAP, FRS 102
- Accounting Consolidation knowledge
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Xero knowledge preferred.
