As part of our ongoing growth plans, we are currently seeking a replacement Financial Controller to join our dynamic team.
Job Description:
As the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, providing strategic financial insights, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making processes.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Review and validate monthly financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Supervise and mentor the Accounts Administrator, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure all financial practices adhere to company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience working with Sage Line 50 and CLIK software is desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
