A highly successful business operating within the hospitality sector is searching for a Financial Controller to work within the Bournemouth area. The position holder will support the Group Financial Controller and senior directors with a hands-on approach to their work, providing technical accounting abilities and financial support across the business. Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
* Providing excellent support to the Group Financial Controller, within the production of the management accounts, within a timely and accurate manner
* Conducting reconciliations for the monthly packs for balance sheets
* Taking a lead role in the annual budget process and updating monthly forecasts, while also handling reporting, particularly in the area of variances with the forecasting and budgets
* Handling accruals and prepayments, ensuring these are completed accurately
* Providing support to the budget holders with matters relating to cost control
* Overseeing the Sales, Guest and Deposit Ledgers, reviewing and challenging the accuracy of these as appropriate
* Taking care of bank reconciliations
* Supporting on income audits for the business
* Assisting in the preparation of payroll, ensuring all information required is collected and oversee the ongoing reporting as well
What You Will Need To Apply:
This company are looking to hear from ambitious finance professionals, ideally with an ACCA/ACA qualification, and possessing financial experience within the hospitality sector. You should also have strong communication skills, as well as strong IT literacy particularly within Microsoft Excel and Sage 200, as this is what the business uses. Additional experience includes payroll exposure too. You should be able to manage a full workload and prioritize your time effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
What You Will Get In Return:
The successful candidate who will operate within this role will be entitled to a potential starting salary of up £45,000, depending on relevant experience, knowledge and industry exposure.
