Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join a well-established financial company in the automotive sector. The role will be based from their head office in Bury on a hybrid basis (2 days a week in the office), so applicants ideally should be within a commutable distance of this location.

As Finance Controller, the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance across the business, managing a team of 4 others and ensuring continuous improvement to business and financial processes.

Role Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial activities across the business, ensuring that key controls are adhered to and processes are compliant with reporting standards.
• Produce and provide thorough and timely financial reports / recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and implement efficient financial strategies to support core values.
• Manage and develop financial systems and processes.
• Support with statutory reporting and annual audit management.
• Provide 1-1s and manage a small team, ensuring that duties are being followed.
• Collaborate with other department Heads to develop and manage annual budgets.

Experience / Skills required:

• Previous experience working as a Financial Controller or similar.
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong educational background.
• Ideally experience within the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence and competence working to timely deadlines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
