Financial Controller

Given the firm's growth and all the upcoming new projects, they are now looking for a Financial Controller to be in charge of their UK entities. Reporting directly into senior management, you will be tasked with the improvement of the finance function as well as providing crucial insights to support decision-making.
Given their past growth and future plans, this role comes with splendid personal and professional growth opportunities. No two days will be the same but some of the things that you will be getting yourself involved with will be:

• General oversight of financial control activities, including review of month end reconciliations and management of reporting standards under IFRS
• Taking the lead of technical accounting issues. Liaising with external auditors, tax advisors and external regulatory bodies
• Taking responsibility for managing the day-to-day accounting functions of the UK corporate entities
• Leading simplification, standardisation and improvement of processes and controls to ensure more effective financial reporting and robust operational process
• Providing key insights to senior management to aid them in strategic decision-making

Experience required:

• Qualified accountant with 2+ years PQE
• Financial Services experience required, ideally from a FinTech, Banking or Broking background
• Good IFRS and UK GAAP experience required
• Good management and leadership, with the ability to put forward proposals, come up with new ideas and lead process improvement
