About The Role
This individual will operate as the main link between the central Accounts team and the management/finance teams in the subsidiaries, reporting to our Platform finance leads and CFO. The role will be based in Birmingham with our central Accounts team, requiring occasional travel to the head offices of some of the subsidiaries. As we grow both organically and through further acquisitions across our platforms, there is significant scope for progression and to mould this role and in turn, your future career path!
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing monthly finance packs for presentation to the subsidiary boards
- Responsible for preparing and/or reviewing subsidiary budgets
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts
- Assist with the annual budgeting process, being link between subsidiary management and central finance
- Work with fee earners to prepare appropriate provisions for debtors, WIP etc
- Main point of contact for ad-hoc finance queries from both internal and external stakeholders, including internal and external audit, central finance teams (covering Billing, Credit Control and Treasury), fee earners and board members
- Responsibility for maintaining a robust control environment
- Oversee junior finance members of the subsidiaries, including providing adequate training and supervision
- Liaise with Group support functions with tasks and queries around people, risk and compliance, and tax
- Assist the Group finance team with preparing year end statutory accounts for the subsidiaries
- Assist in the preparation and/or review of monthly journals
- Reconcile intercompany balances
- Assistance with finance system migration/testing

- ACA, ACCA or other relevant accounting body qualified with 5+ years PQE
- Previous experience working in either professional services or property consultancies preferable
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders
- Strong task management skills including an ability to prioritise tasks and regularly manage multiple deliverables across various businesses independently
- Experience of using 3E advantageous but training will be provided
- Previous experience of involvement in finance system migration projects preferred
- Collaborative and flexible approach
- Working knowledge of Sage and Xero would be beneficial but not a pre-requisite
