SF Recruitment are working exclusively with a brilliant SME Business in Wellingborough who are looking for Financial Controller to join their business on a full time, permanent basis. They are the UK Leading manufacturer within their filed & have over 30 years market experience. As the Financial Controller you will report into the Managing director with a dotted line to the Group Finance Director & Oversee a small team. The main duties of the Financial Controller will be to cover the Group reporting, inventory, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, FX analysis, corporate governance and business partnering through the development and provision of management information to enable decision support.
Further duties of the Financial Controller include:
- Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place and maintained, specifically to include: - completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all General Ledger Balance Sheet accounts - maintenance of a complete and accurate Fixed Asset Register monthly Management Accounts reconciled to the General Ledger
- Day to day management of the Finance team
- Monthly Management Accounts and forecasts
- Statutory Accounts
- VAT - Import Duty - Payroll Taxes - Corporation Tax - R&D Tax Relief Credit
- Co-ordinate and prepare annual budgets
- Analyse slow moving stock and recommend actions to the SLT to mitigate potential write-offs - work with the Operations Director to develop a plan to minimise stockholding whilst ensuring operational and contractual obligations are met
- Debtors & Creditors: - preparation of accurate cash forecasting based upon expected daily sales invoicing and supplier payments to enable Group wide management of cash flow
- Business Information and Decision Support - working closely with the Senior Financial Analyst and the SLT: - provide a weekly Flash report of month to date performance and expected out-turn with relevant commentary
The ideal Financial Controller will have experience within Manufacturing, SME Environments & be a qualified accountant. A natural drive to improve, excellent communication skills with the ability to work within a cross functional environment with all levels within the business. Working within a fast paced environment - ability to prioritise and manage stakeholder expectations is critical.
