We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager to join our client who are a second generation, family owned, growing SME business based in Knowsley.
Role details:
- In this hands-on role, you will produce monthly management accounts and support the Managing Director with the business growth plans.
- You will manage and support a small finance team (3)
- Drive improvements in P&L analysis, and review process of budgets and forecasts.
- You will be keen to understand the business, building relationships with internal stakeholders to effectively business partner and help develop driving improvements and reporting efficiencies.
- You will be commercially focussed and keen to analyse investigating variances against project plans.
- Produce management reports to provide insightful analysis on business performance.
- Confident communicator, able to present findings to the MD with actionable insights.
- Support with the new ERP implementation of SAP.
- Work with the MD to provide strategic analysis and financial modelling support.

Key skills:
- Previous experience working within a similar varied and hands on SME/ owner managed business would be desirable.
- Keen to speak with both experienced Qualified and Qualified by experience candidates.
- An experienced, hands-on FC who is commercially driven to support business growth and implement improved reporting and processes.
- Highly motivated and ambitious.
- Confident communicator with both internal and external stakeholders, including MD.
- Previous experience leading a new ERP implementation (SAP) would be desirable.
Package:
- Salary £45,000 -£50,000
- Office based role.
- 37.5 hours - flexible hours.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Location:Knowsley- Parking on site
